Mark has extensive experience as a senior executive and communications professional in the federal government. He served as chief of staff to the Minister of Indian Affairs & Northern Development, and as senior advisor (Economic Development) to the Minister. He was also a special assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Environment.
Mark provided strategic communications planning and implementation advice throughout his tenure in government. He has an in-depth knowledge of the parliamentary and committee process, and the machinery of government.
Mark holds an Honours degree in Political Science and History from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. He also obtained a Masters of Philosophy degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
